has over 20 years of professional experience and his knowledge covers a broad range of skills including management and implementation. His experience has been gained within manufacturing, distribution and financial firms, where he has been responsible for creation, review, development and implementation of IT Strategy.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Currently implementing multiple Dynamics GP10 and Dynamics GP2010 projects. Utilizing “Rapid Implementation Tools” and “Integration Manager”. End user training on Dynamics GP modules and FRx Reporter. Using Report Writer and Dexterity to create BACS output files.

2009 – 2010 Implementation of Dynamics GP10 and GP2010 at 8 companies. Full system configuration and legacy data take on, go-live support and training.

2007 - Successful implementation of Dynamics GP (V9), Bluemoon (Warehouse Management Integration) and Radio Beacon (Warehouse Management System) to run a narrow aisle warehouse and sales operation (budget 250K). This initially required choosing the WMS vendor and then upgrading from Great Plains Version 7.5 to 9. The project took six months to complete and involved 16 people from 5 different companies. During “Go live” I spent 6 weeks on site in the USA, taking responsibility for data integrity testing between the various system interfaces. My role involved the technical specification and installation of hardware and software, as well as testing, implementation, user training, report writing (Smartlists and Crystal) and application support.

Project management and installation of infrastructure (WAN, LAN, WIFI, VPN, and VOIP) for new offices and distribution centre in the USA (budget 75K). Prepared requirements definition and technical specification for this 6 month project before choosing the vendors to supply network equipment and communications. I also recruited a network administrator to manage the infrastructure. The outcome of the project was a purpose built facility to give the business “Foreign Trade Zone” status, deferring import duties and increasing cash flow.

Convinced the business of the benefits of CRM and successfully rolled out a wireless PDA solution (budget 50K). From a shortlist of 4 vendors my recommendation was to take the ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS) route from Salesforce.com. The technology used was ‘Apex Code’, Exchange/Outlook, Sybase and Windows mobile operating systems. The project took 4 months but the timing, planning and implementation was critical to take advantage of free PDAs on offer as part of the Vodafone renewal contract. My roles were to tailor and install the software as well as design the training courses and deliver one to one and group training with the customer services manager. As a result of this implementation all key customer account information could be stored centrally.
