INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES

I'm a self-proclaimed skip monkey and I also make a nuisance of myself at auctions, finding things to renovate or recycle in the hope I can transform other people's junk into my treasure. I love a good antiques market.

I'm passionate about interior and garden design, and frequently work on my own property as well as helping friends with ideas for their homes and outdoor spaces. I'm not shy of a bit of D.I.Y, and took on a renovation project of a lovely Victorian house a few years back.

I enjoy entertaining at home with family and friends and also getting involved with the local community. I volunteer at my son's school a couple of afternoons a week, trying to help support them with the educational and social initiatives they have, and endeavouring to come up with new ideas and ways of making learning fun. I have a group of priority readers that need help with their word skills and I assist a new pupil from Bangladesh with her written and spoken English.

I paint a bit, my sewing machine makes an appearance now and again and I've been working on a tapestry for about a year now. Nearly done and the wait will be worth it.
