Career objective 
Looking for a challenging position of the Visual Information Specialist Resume the reputed University with a view to use my wide experience for the benefit of the organization.
September 2008 – Present   Metropolitan College.
Part time tutor in subjects MS Visual Basic and Information Systems. This included preparation and research of notes and class materials; keeping to a given syllabus in accordance with the high standards of the institution and education body. It also involved the delivery of classes, attendance of meetings and general AOB of the given subject. I worked to a strict project plan in which subjects of a given syllabus were to be covered in the amount of allocated term time and then items of that subject taught in class time itself.
 
September 2003 – Present Software Development.
I have been involved with a small group of people with a shared interest in desktop, web and database development. This would compose of a backend database (MySQL/MS Access) whilst having a MS VB2005 frontend. ADO.net and ASP.net technologies were employed as well as stored procedures (SQL) on the database side. An SQL server was setup using MS Windows 2000 and IIS or a mail client, e-mails were automatically sent to members and so accounts were managed and setup for sites. JavaScript would also be used for client side functionality and CSS for the– 30/06/2004   Boys Model.
Service and repair of the schools’ server systems. This included the setting up of software packages for special occasions and classes, printers and routers. The installation and preparing of operating systems for teacher laptops for the newly installed ‘C2K’ system.
 
Helping students with course work using a range of Microsoft products including Microsoft Office (Access, Word and Excel) was requested by pupils of secondary school age and was done at a one to one basis. 
Basics of programming, awareness of software and its role it plays in a day to day work environment. This was part of the student’s technology subject and I was required to help in a supportive role during class. The software used was VB6 and was taught to a very basic level.

Service and repair of a wide range of office equipment including; Typewriters, Monroe computers systems (including 2880/2890 EPROM systems), printers, photocopiers and calculators. All equipment was repaired to component and/or board level.

Other Information:
I enrolled in a short 7 1/2 hour (three nights) summer refreshment course in 2007 on ADO.net and ASP.net technologies.
I setup and taught a successful karate club in 1990 for two years, while actively training myself, working towards my   grade.
I have been a member of St.  ’s Ambulance and I have completed courses in First aid, Nursing 1 and 2, and Ambulance 1.
I was also involved with a small community group ‘Faith and Light’, looking after people with learning difficulties which involved drama, music and a discussion group for carers and parents.
I have a full, clean driving licence.
 
I have been employed full time for over twenty three years and I have gained a considerable amount of work experience. I have learnt the importance of establishing and maintaining good working relationships with both work colleagues and clients; learning of any special requirements which will assist my code of practice. I have the ability to work as a team leader and/or member, able to demonstrate my ability to be patient, understanding, a good communicator, to be concise and accurate in the recording and delivery of information. I am willing to work at any task I’m assigned with, to learn new skills and to use my initiative when required. I know to work within company policy and procedures and show unconditional professional regard for the company, able to adapt and be honest.
