Appendix One ¬ Previous projects managed BusinessConsultant Facilitator and Trainer Event Manager A challenging inquisitive facilitator, I work at a strategic and executive development level. I am very competent and comfortable working 1:1 and with large teams of people. My gregarious nature allows me to form quick relationships and lets people feel relaxed. I have played a key role in developing real projects that combine the Community and Social Responsibility Programmes of businesses with training and management development. Previous clients include Cambridge University Hospitals Trust, Balfour Beatty, Nandos Restaurants, Britvic, Siemens, Guinness UDV, BP Exploration, Boots Healthcare International and The National School of Government amongst many others. Examples of previous work Working with the Executive Team at Cambridge University Hospitals Trust, I facilitated the development of a strategic vision and long term plan through a series of structured interventions. In partnership with a London consultancy, I co-led a series of Leadership Development programmes for Balfour Kilpatrick. This was a leadership programme of experiential learning aimed at skills and behavioural development. Working in partnership with the HR and Training Departments of Britvic Soft Drinks, I helped design and deliver their Leadership and Management Development Programmes to support their vision. Developing a team building initiative that included sharing company information across the Leadership Team for Tsubakimoto, a Japanese engineering company, I designed a series of engaging activities to get this company re-energised and aligned. Focusing on developing positive health and safety, environmental and quality focused behaviours, I designed a series of experiential programmes for BP Exploration. These behaviours were then seen as the standard for off shore operations. Working with the Bradgate Bakery training team, whose main client is Tescos, I designed a stretching sophisticated team challenge that delegates found incredibly engaging and paralleled many of their internal work practices. My work with the National School of Government is to provide well thought out alternatives that add value to their internal training programmes. I developed a 2 phase management training intervention for Budgens Stores called "Value in People" that won a national training award. This focused on skills training and the behavioural aspects of working and managing teams. Programmes included a mix of theory, practice and feedback. With the Stroke Unit team at Addenbrookes Hospital doubling in size, I designed a series of interventions to help them manage this growth and the associated challenges this has brought for both the team and individuals. With double digit growth, Nandos asked me to develop a step change programme for their managers. ,,Working in Management Teams has been running for over six years and won a National Training Award. The programme includes sessions on Systematic Problem Solving, Team Development and Belbin Team Roles. I designed and delivered a series of facilitation days for The Royal College of Nursing when they went through a process of devolution and change. This work included the East Anglian, North Yorkshire, West Midlands & East Midlands Boards. Whilst at Unique Solutions, I worked with the training team at Network Rail to become an accredited supplier of team building events to ensure quality and standards of delivery. I am qualified to use the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®), am Belbin accredited and have an Executive Certificate in Event Management from Edinburgh (Napier) University.
