Job Description: National Methods & Tools Coordinator – Loads & Aeroelastics. 
Duties/Responsibilities: Resource/Project managing a team of 6 direct reporting employees on internal   Software Maintenance & Development  projects. Managing a budget of between 1m-2m/yr cost reporting to Airbus nationally & transnational. Engineering focal point on IS related projects and liaising with the IS/IT development and architecture teams. Utilizing Airbus Quality Methodology on software development projects from development to release. Liaising with other resource managers within the domain to ensure project resource. Developing Guidelines, Airbus Methods and Airbus Procedures for software development and maintenance/evolution, ensuring Airbus Quality Compliance. 
Achievements: 
SoCL (Supply of Control Laws) –delivered a set of software tools written in Matlab – worked closely Airbus Flight Systems and The Mathworks. 
FLaGLIS (Flight Loads and Ground Loads Integrated System) – migrated the department away from IBM OS390 Mainframe to Unix based supercomputing environment – multi-year project. 
MODLIS (Modelling Integrated System) – migrating the aircraft model building tools from IBM OS390 to Unix based supercomputing environment. 
Preferred Solutions – Business Project Leader for the Transnational Data Infrastructure project which aimed to deliver the underlying hardware/software solution to enable airbus sites to work in   near real time  on the same data. A 6m pan-airbus Loads & Aeroelastics Project. Other key projects include: CLIS (Component Loads Int. Syst.) migrating legacy tools into the Matlab environment.
