Looking for a challenging position of the Technical Architect Resume the reputed University with a view to use my wide experience for the benefit of the organization.

Overview

BA (Hons) & PGDip Arch in Architecture, and have recently completed Professional Practice in Architecture at the University of Kingston upon Thames. Over five years experience gained in architecture and related fields. My interpersonal skills and legislative skills are a reflection of my completed studies, time in practice and experience working overseas. Enthusiastic and driven, I have worked in high pressure environments as an individual and as part of a team, and am continually pushing to improve my skills and knowledge base. My commitment to the profession and determination are shown in my varied experiences, and I always keen to accept new challenges and illustrate design flair through my work.

I have site experience in six countries having worked in Texas, Mexico, Malaysia, India and Australia. In my work for the petro-chemical industry I worked overseeing repair work and surveying to live drilling platforms, and oversaw the repair work in the shipyards of Texas, coordinating and overseeing teams of fitters and fabricators and foremen.

I have also worked fitting out three bars and a nightclub, working physically on site with a team of joiners as both designarchitect and foreman. In my recent work for Spratley Studios I have worked extensively as part of a team refitting the Heckfield Place Grade two listed Manor house into a five star hotel. Working as part of a team of specialists we have completed proposals for a new health spa, three restaurants and associated kitchens, a cooking school, gym, wedding venue and screening room as part of a £20m refit and new build leisure complex scheme. The project is on site and set for completion in spring 2011. I Also recently completed the fit out of the new Winchester offices of Brooks Macdonald Wealth Management, creating a new flagship office for the high profile investors Winchester satellite office. On a tight deadline of five months from start to finish.

Architecture is a passion of mine and I am a competent designer and project architect, but I have large amounts of site experience from before gaining my recent final qualification and becoming a chartered architect. I am as at home designing as I am taking projects to site, gaining great satisfaction in construction and completed projects, working to tight deadlines in high pressure environments.

I am happy working overseas, and eager to work in the UAE if possible, having worked overseas in the past, and would be available to move almost immediate, I am available for interview at short notice and would be more than happy to relocate should the appropriate opportunity present itself.

Primary responsibilities have included contract administration of both residential and commercial projects, namely the new Winchester office for Brooks Macdonald wealth management, and a private house in Sandbanks, Dorset. Taking these projects through all the RIBA work stages. Working both individually and as part of a larger project team on a larger ongoing hotel/spa complex project, I have worked alongside specialist consultants, M&E engineers and structural engineers. I have worked on the development of concept designs, production of tender and working drawings packages, and have successfully taken two jobs through to practical on completion within the last year.

Worked primarily in the education and healthcare sectors on large scale projects including the new build Eastbourne academy in Darlington, and Castleview academy in Sunderland as part of the BSF programme. Healthcare projects included the refit of the Leeds General infirmary teaching hospital and the feasibility designs for the new build mental health facilities at Clifton Park Hospital, York. Work involved preparation of feasibly documents, liaising with structural and M&E engineers and healthcare specialists and preparing room data schedules for 400+ bedrooms, offices, theatres, laboratories and facilities of the LGI paediatric oncology wards.

Work consisted of the offshore surveying of live drilling platforms, and the overseeing of subsequent repair work in dry dock, liaising continually with surveying teams, operations managers, fabricators and shipyard repair teams on location in America, South America, Asia and East Asia.
