Sales Order Management/PA
Currently work for Nike Consultants Ltd, a HP Partner - IT reseller, we sell anything from a small ink cartridge to servers to IT solutions, software and hardware support.
My main role within the company is Sales Order Management, ensuring that all goods and services are delivered effectively, professionally and in a timely fashion. This will include monitoring the progress of an order, from the time the purchase order is received from the customer right through to the delivery of goods.
Each order is placed with a supplier; it is my responsibility as order management to chase the supplier, check stock levels and to revise other methods of getting the goods to the customer on time for example, if that particular supplier does not have the goods in stock. Potentially this may mean cancelling and order with a supplier and placing it elsewhere to ensure that the customer receives the goods onsite as and when required.
For something such as a blade enclosure, the item has to be built, this will consist of many blades, switches etc. These type of goods take a lot longer to ship as they are usually ordered outside of the UK. As we are a HP partner most of our goods are reliant on other HP resellers, the process to get an order booked on a HP system can take up to 24 hours. Within this time high volumes of paperwork are produced, I will have to liaise with various suppliers to ship one order to a customer, which can be very time consuming.
Once the order is shipped to the customer, I will then chase for POD (proof of delivery) and contact the customer to check that they are satisfied with their goods received. Any queries or faulty goods will have to be dealt with immediately.

Give advice on Data Protection, Freedom of Information requests, Confidentiality,
Monitor incoming and outgoing Freedom of Information requests, ensuring that they met the 20 working day deadline under government legislation.
