Promotion to Records Accuracy Management Consultant
Build a team of specialist personnel to coordinate count programs, investigate stock discrepancies, reconcile stock discrepancies and conduct risk assessments on client inventories in Europe. Develop a centralised point of contact for all stored inventory inquiries and problem resolution. Organise strategic count plans within budget for each client.
Clients: Land Rover, Rover, General Motors, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Kia, Quinton Hazell, Caterpillar, Ford.
Count programs included Statistical Test, Perpetual Inventory, and Annual Physical.
Ensure that all count targets are achieved to agreed timelines. Coordinate action plans to recover operational slip& Gross within contractual deviation. Initiate recovery programs when necessary.
Provide recommendations to minimize and control shrinkage.
Work with the Commercial team, review proposed contracts for KPI’s and provide FMEA for new business tenders
Provide statistical analysis of inventory position and report findings and recommendations for improvement to client and CAT management teams.
Liaise with facility management to review opportunities for improvement in Inventory record accuracy.
Travel - work directly with teams at locations in Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Hungary, USA, India
Work with external auditors to agree count programs and resolve discrepancy issues. Auditors PWC, Delloitte, KPMG, Sarbanes.
Work with operations teams to implement corrective, preventative actions.
Co-ordinate the transition of BS EN ISO 9002 certification to BS EN ISO
Developed a centralised service for Inventory accuracy controls, comprising of 2 teams. Belgium team situated at the CAT facility in Grimbergen, focused on CAT yellow parts.
UK team based at Desford Leics, focused on all other clients. The combined full time team size was 22 comprising, 2 Supervisory, 12 Technical, 8 operations + temp staff.
Developed and implemented count programs for all clients across all European facilities. Achieved all count programs to defined schedules.
Provided transfer plans for Unipart stock transfer to CAT. Plans were approved by Delloitte Rover finance teams CAT Finance team. Coordinated due diligence activities for start up operations in Europe for GM, Chevrolet, Land Rover, Hyundai, Kia
Implemented corrective action when required, to ensure that all business units maintained inventory accuracy within the agreed standard deviation.
Organised and chaired monthly inventory review meetings with CAT operations management and client finance teams to review count progress, high value deviations and trend analysis.
Worked on site with client teams in European facilities to conduct inventory counts, process audits and advise corrective / preventative action from problem resolution.
Conducted full process audit for Quinton Hazell (receiving to dispatch including admin functions). Submitted a full report with recommendations. The General Manager described the work as “outstanding” and committed to use the report as a driver for improvement

Process map BMW operational processes at the Dingolfing facility in Germany
Work with multifunctional teams from BMW, Rover, CAT to develop supply chain processes for the pending transfer of Rover automotive parts from Unipart to CAT
Worked with multi functional teams from CAT and BMW at Desford and in Dingolfing to produce a comprehensive process map of the BMW operation and system functionality. The results formed the basis of preparation for the transfer of supply chain logistics from Unipart to CAT. The project was abandoned due to the sale of Rover from BMW to Phoenix Venture holdings.
