Work Experience
Partnerships in Care- Activity co-ordinator- Jan 2010- 2011 The devising and execution of a therapeutic timetable for patients with a forensic background within an LD service. All patients are held on a section in both low and medium secure units. The timetable consists of both in house and section 17 activities teaching a range of life skills including cooking, animal care, rambling, photography, horticulture, model making, peer interaction as well as including’s this year alone.
Horse breaking- Currently breaking in horses part time for a local stud farm
Yard Manager-Bardwell Livery
June 2006 to June 2009
Ran a busy Livery yard and organised the buying and selling of horses for a wide variety of clients. I ran a busy diary offering private lessons for clients on there own horses and took sole charge of the care of all the horses from mucking out to assisting vets and keeping records. I also taught for the local riding school on some days of the week and taught not only riding but also gave lectures on horse care and stable management. During my time on this yard I was required to assist with numerous vetting’s illnesses, wounds and broken bones
Arborist- Bowards, Oxon- January 2004 to January 2006
I had to be very fit to do the job, which I really enjoyed and working within a dynamic team was great.
In 06 I went to Merrist Wood and studied plant Biology and tree
mechanics as well as learning tree genus and species In Latin. Hard
going but I loved the sense of achievement I got with a double distinction pass. Extensive experience in maintenance and use of heavy plant and driving large vehicles. Numerous contracts for the council working closely with tree officers on a regular basis.
Landscaping and chainsaw operator-various companies-November 1999- 2004
1999-2004 over this time I worked for various companies including conservation, landscaping and forestry. I gathered qualifications and experience and eventually reached a level where I took sole charge in many on many conservation, forestry and landscaping jobs. I became a foreman for one of the forestry companies, which involved transport of the team and smooth running of the operation from the job sheet. Maintenance of saws and correct use off ppe in accordance withhealth and safety etc were also my responsibility. I went on regular first aid and site safety awareness courses. Whilst landscaping I became very proficient at slab laying to a very high standard specialising in Indian limestone, often I was in sole charge with some men working under me for the groundwork.

Trained to BHS stage 2
Worked on an event yard Which was exceptionally hard work and long hours but I learned a great deal.
Made up to head girl level and ultimately ran a busy Riding School.
Ran a Rangers club and took all 55 children to Olympia from the Isle of Wight.
