Professional Experience
Deloitte - Management Consulting Aug '08 - present
I joined the Management Consulting Graduate Scheme as an Analyst, and was promoted to Consultant in July 2010. I have worked on several different clients and roles:
London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) - Secondment Oct'09 - present
Following a competitive application process, I was seconded into the Technology Operational Readiness (TRE) team within LOCOG, which is responsible for the resourcing and mobilisation of the Technology workforce, as well as the communications and engagement activity within the team.
I joined an initial team of three in a Project Management role, and was heavily involved in the project set up, including development of the Project Strategy and a comprehensive MS Project Plan, which I used for activity planning, tracking progress against milestones, and monthly reporting into the Programme Office. As well as maintenance of the Actions, Risks and Issues logs, I represented TRE in several forums.
Within Resourcing, I managed the end to end recruitment process for the Internship scheme. This included sifting CVs, developing the content for and running six assessment centres, interviewing applicants, and short-listing candidates in the follow up. I owned the Engagement activities, including organising a successful away day for 200 people, which involved planning the structure, content and logistics for the day. I managed the internal Communications, including a monthly newsletter.
I have now moved into the position of Deputy Mobilisation Manager, undertaking thorough role handovers to the new Project, Resourcing and Communications managers. I have gained line management experience and been responsible for all mobilisation activities within a cluster of Olympic venues, which includes planning the workforce numbers, locations and roles, as well as coordinating their logistical requirements within each venue. I have developed a Mobilisation specific MS Project Plan and budget model.
The Ministry of Defence - Future Submarines Project Management Team Oct'08 - Jan'09
As part of a skills and capability assessment, I performed a root cause analysis of previous teams' inefficiencies through research and stakeholder interview, which formed the basis of a future proposals pack. We assessed the operational requirements of the project management team, and undertook an extensive piece of work to establish their optimal design management arrangements, taking into account the political sensitivities and varying levels of responsibility and investment from the numerous organisations involved.
Emap ltd - Finance Transformation Project Jan'09 - Mar'09
I held Project Management responsibilities at this media client, including maintenance of the Project Plan, and Risks, Issues and Actions logs.
Cattles plc - Finance/HR Transformation Project Oct'08 - Jan'09
Cattles were a leading UK sub-prime Financial Services lender. I was involved in Change and Stakeholder Managementactivities, including performing the initial gap analysis to establish the business' requirements. I was part of User Acceptance Testing, presenting the new systems to key stakeholders, and also produced Communications to educate the workforce on how the new systems worked.
