Key Skills and Responsibilities
Recently took on a 6 month project for a residential care home managing the full facilities, hard and soft. Bought into improve the standards of all FM services to ensure that the Philosophy of Care is adhered to.
Responsible for Facilities Management of the 120 bedroom home, 8 suites with 15 beds in each, all en-suite with communal lounges and dining rooms. This includes a Piazza cafe/bar, with hair dressers, catering services, laundry services, domestics, maintenance, library, internet cafe, grounds maintenance.
Responsible for all fire safety records and drills. Recording the testing of legionella, PAT testing of any electrical equipment, wheelchair and Zimmer frame checks. Reactive maintenance on a daily basis.
Responsible for any third party maintenance, checking RA’s and method statements are in place if required, adherence to registration.
Through regular audits produce action plans for services.
Procurement through tender processes.
Responsible for monitoring budget’s within the given constraints. Finding improvements.
Working with care managers to seek a solution to minor works that will have limited disruption to our service users.
Regular inventory checks to identify areas needed for replenishment of equipment and stock.
Training needs of all staff within Hotel Services.
