I am a fifty year old man with a wealth of experience in mostly the transport and logistic industry, but I also have knowledge of a number of other industries.

Whilst being employed by Husseys Bakery, my job title changed from Distribution Supervisor to Warehouse and Logistic Supervisor. Due to the environment in which the company works it was deemed appropriate to give me more responsibility and open up my role within the company. I have had a steep learning curve within a short time and it has been said that I have added value to the company in my short time of being employed. I gained a qualification in Health & Safety (IOSH), whilst employed at Husseys. Husseys Bakery has now ceased trading.
 
Mar 2004 – May 2008 Tuffnells Parcels
 
I was employed as a driver with Tuffnells driving 7.5 t Vehicle delivering parcels daily to a defined delivery area. I also have a number of collections daily.

I was employed in the position of Transport Controller. My job entailed the use of two transport and warehousing programmes that enable me to function in my position. The two systems that I used are called, Nevis and SAP. I worked on a three shift system covering a twenty four hour period, seven days a week.

I was employed at Stannah Stairlifts Ltd, as aWarehouse Stock Controller. I was employed in a varied role of forklift movement’s replenishment of stock and stock control.

Since December I have worked for two different employment agencies in  , working for local companies and carrying out varied task’s as required. 
 
Oct. 1998 – Dec.2001 DIG TRANSPORT
 
I was employed in the position of transport administrator. I worked directly with the managing director planning the day to day running of the company and dealing in a customer service role as required. I had been directly responsible in the installation of computers within the office and instrumental in planning a computer program for the day to day running using Microsoft Access, where we could allocate jobs to job cards which enabled us to invoice customers and view vehicle/driver costing at a glance. 
 
 
 
April 1998 – Oct.1998 PARSONS INTERNATIONAL
 
I was employed in the position of Logistics Supervisor, with sole responsibility for the importing of goods for all promotions handled by the company. I was also responsible for stock control, Forward order planning, invoicing and delivering goods to customer’s warehouses in the UK. I also had dealings with the Customs and Excise in respect of VAT duty for the importing of goods.
 
March 1997- March 1998 KAY O NEILL
 
I had been employed in the position of Transport Co-Coordinator. My duties were to assist the Transport Manager with the smooth running of the transport department, including allocating deliveries and collections, pricing job sheets, entering pod’s, routing vehicles, customer service, vehicle costing reports, subcontractor reports, tachographs and drivertimesheet/wages.
 
 
April 1995 – May 1997 SCOTTISH EXPRESS INTERNATIONAL
 
I started working for Scottish Express International as a freight agent in May 1995, and for the first 2 months I was trained at various depots across the south of England, before the new   depot opened in July 1995. When Scottish Express were awarded a contract by a major computer manufacturer, I was approached and asked to consider taking on the role of Contract Co-Coordinator, and took up my new position on 1st November 1995.
As Contract Co-Coordinator I controlled the day to day running of an onsite contract in  dealing with the staff employed by SEI, I was responsible for shift rota’s, driver’s hours, wages, timesheets, tachographs, recruiting, customer liaison, customer services, deliveries, collections, full and part load movements, sameday specials, vehicle costing and supplier visits. The company from time to time, used to send me to other branches in England as cover for branch managers on holiday.
I was made redundant from SEI in April 1997 due to the loss of the contract when our customer to decided to cut costs.
 
 
Feb 1990 – April 1995   TRANSPORT
 
I was employed at Grays Transport as a driver in 1990. After Red Funnel Ferries (ABP) bought the company and changed the name to   Transport, I was transferred into the warehouse. After the company was sold to Maxi Haulage, I was promoted to Volvo Traffic Co-Coordinator, where my duties included organizing rota’s for 6 drivers, receiving, checking and routing incoming freight from Volvo, Rugby and Volvo, Gent Belgium. All traffic was classed very urgent sameday timed deliveries. I also had to deal with customer complaints as part of my role.
 
March 1989 – Feb 1990 ENHAM INDUSTRIES
 
I was employed at Enham Industries initially as a cabinet maker and then moved into the packing department, finally becoming a driver/packer. 
 
1987 – 1989 BRISTOW HELICOPTERS
 
I was employed as a ground handler and my duties included refueling, cleaning and assisting during take off and landing. I gained the qualifications whilst attached to the Army Air Corps during my time in the armed forces.
