Career objective 
Looking for a challenging position of the Maintenance Worker Resume the reputed University with a view to use my wide experience for the benefit of the organization.
I am a very experienced Marine Engineer, currently employed by VT Flagship as a Marine Engineer Trainer. Prior to this, I spent 8 years in the Royal Navy (RN), achieving the rank of Engineering Technician 1st Class. 
I have extensive expertise in the management, operation and maintenance of a wide range of ships’, electrical generation and distribution equipment, Hydraulic Systems and Domestic electrical services. 
I am a commercially aware, dynamic and professional Diesel engineer with proven Project Management (PRINCE 2 Foundation) experience. Using my excellent influencing and communication skills, I strive to exceed expected levels of service delivery for projects allocated to me. Having been selected for the rank of Leading Rate in the RN, I am an adaptable, politically aware, proven team leader with a tried and tested leadership style. My extensive career in a challenging military environment that insists on impeccable standards has led me to become a superior communicator, both written and oral, with internal and external executive managers and subordinates alike. • Been awarded the Captains Commendation twice for my work against adversity and section management when my 2 senior managers departed due to ill health and for being part of the 10 man team who worked a 72hr shift in a foreign port to maintain the ships operational commitments. The first person to win this award twice in 1 posting. 
 
CAREER HISTORY 
July 2010 - Current Marine Engineering Trainer, VT Flagship Training 
 
Marine Engineering Trainer, specialising in Hunt Class Mine Counter Measure Vessels (MCMV’s). My primary role is to support the MOD and its subcontractors in preparing and assessing the Lithuanian Navy crew in the safe operation of two MCMV vessels. This is a 4 month contract to train, mentor, evaluate and report on the competence of the Lithuanian crew in the safe operation of the vessel’s main propulsion and auxiliary systems. In addition, to assist with the training and assessment of emergency procedure practice and competencies, in order to provide third party assurance for the ship’s safe passage back to Lithuania. 
 
Jan 2010-July 2 r/Loader, TRUFRAME LTD 
 
Despatch driver/loader, this role was a demanding multi drop driving role, dealing with customer on a 
daily basis and dealing with customer discrepancies instantly to maintain good customer relations. 
Cash handling on a daily basis and maintaining safe return of all monies to the financial department 
regularly. On a vehicle start up all check of all areas including load were carried out in accordance 
with VOSA to maintain the company reputation as a leading manufacturer in the production of windows, 
doors, and glass reporting all defects and missing items to the Transport Manager. In a self 
motivating role as always required to work alone, including having to offload at some customer locations 
by myself due to customer work schedules I have found my self highly motivated and speedy operator 
taking due care and pride in maintaining good customer/driver relations sometimes changing delivery 
locations to satisfy the customer. 
 
Dec 2007- Dec 2009 HMS Roebuck Hydrographic Squadron Engineer 
 
After a successful tour of Iraq, I was posted to the Hydrographic survey squadron. An opportunity I relished to further enhance my career, whilst aboard I covered a wide range of duties which included: 
 
• Manage and maintain the ships survey motorboat launch acting in the capacity of Marine Engineering Officer when away from lead vessel, covering reactive maintenance, fuel survey and fire fighting responsibilities. 
• Assist surveyors in the launch of the side scan sonar. 
• Assist in the overhaul of the ships propulsion systems including a major gearbox and shaft replacement ( July 2009 ). 
• Maintain 3 Cummins generators, 1 Lister Blackstock emergency generator and  n fire pump. Planning all maintenance and collating all records of oil changes and tests, refuels and running hours to assist in runtimemaintenance. 
• Maintain ships Hydraulic ‘A’ frame for launch of side scan sonar. Covering all mechanical and electrical aspects. 
• Act as the on call engineer on key surveys such as Plymouth sound ( ongoing ), and Chatham dockyard at short notice for Type 45 arrival ( June 2009 ). 
 
 
Feb 2007-Dec 2007 Gun Commander Op Telic 12 
 
After being offered a chance to serve in Iraq alongside 16 Regt Royal Artillery as part of the land based Phalanx crews, I undertook operational training in Texas, USA learning the systems and operations of the trailer based phalanx reaction weapon system. After passing the set course under the watchful eye of the US Military I was selected to be 1 of 6 gun commanders assuming overall command of a set phalanx when in field. 
 
• Carry out detailed daily report of gun systems states, events and sightings reporting directly to the Battery Command. 
• Learning complex Pneumatic systems to carry out daily maintenance to assist Gun maintainers ease their workloads for more pressing maintenance. 
• Carry responsibility for 5 crew members in weekly reports of personal ammunition and ancillary states, Personal Weapon cleanliness and awareness training of firefighting principles. 
• Carrying out detailed tours of the Weapon to visiting senior officers of other Services and Parlimentary members. 
• Recommended Promotion to Leading Rate on completion of tour. 
 
Oct 2005-Feb 2007 Generator Section Manager, HMS Atherstone/ Catistock
 
After joining a MCMV Minesweeper in Faslane, Scotland. I took my learning to a new level, after being informed my section leader was to depart 2 months after I arrived I had to learn all systems and paperwork to take over his role as Generator Room Manager due to manpower shortages. The key elements in my role were the Power and Generation lead engineer. 
 
• Successfully completed the Diesel Maintainers Course and Outboard Motors Maintainers Course at HMS Sultan Military Engineering College. 
• Carried Out overhauls and planned maintenance routines of MAN and Mercedes Diesel generators. 
• Carried out Installations and commissions of new MAN 60Hz generation sets, both electrically and mechanically. 
• Gained the Switchboard Operators Certificate up to 250KV. 
• Assisted In the Re-gassing and maintenance of 2 Air Conditioning systems and 2 Refrigeration plants. 
• Carried overhauls on Sea water systems, Hydraulic systems, ships electrical supplies and various pumps and compressors. 
• Completed successfully Sea Trials and Emergency Procedure continuation training. 
• Became a member of a naval history to successfully be part of a swap between two ships compliments in a Home Port for the first time in the Royal Navy. 
 
 
 
 
Dec 2001-Oct 2005 Marine Engineer Mechanic, HMS Invincible 
 
 
After Taking up my sea posting, I soon became aware of the gravitous situation I was in joining a ship in refit in Scotland before proceeding to sea for sea trials becoming very involved in all required evolutions as a watchkeeper. Key achievements and skills: 
• Became a member of the watchbill in 2 months working on a 1 in 4 continental shift pattern. 
• Completed 2 trade training books within 1 year, successfully passing my oral board to gain Promotion. 
• Became a key team member in the domestic services team, maintaining all key services to the galleys and laundry, also temporarily running the section for 6 months due to ill health of my two seniors managers. Priding myself in returning all services to an 80% operational capability. 
• A integral part of a small team of mixed ranks who surrendered leave in a foreign port to replace two defective engines to keep in line with the operational programme of the vessel. Carrying out the role of the installation electrician. 
• Learnt team management of small teams to maintain operational capability. 
• Carried out Reactive maintenance in pressure environments 
 
 
 
Jul 2001- Dec 2001 HMS Raleigh/ HMS Sultan 
Joined the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineering Mechanic in 2001. In the early part of my naval career I served in various ships and shore bases, predominantly in a maintainer/watchkeeper role. I successfully undertook the Marine Engineer Initial Career course at HMS Sultan for 16 weeks which was followed by sea training in HMS Invincible to consolidate the shore-based training.
