In sole charge of a new 110 metre long multi-million pound automated production line answering directly to the company Managing Director. 
The duties include:-
Scheduling work and meeting tight production deadlines.
Devising and implementing new, safe and efficient working practices.
Setting up and implementing new stock control systems to ensure a plentiful supply of raw materials to allow for the manufacture of sufficient finished product to meet ever changing customer demands.
Ordering of raw materials and directly dealing with suppliers.
Looking for ways to streamline and perfect the operation by constantly monitoring, updating and automating working practices and operating procedures.
Training employees to carry out improved working practices and operating procedures safely and efficiently.
Dealing with holiday requests, interviewing and employing new personnel.

PLANT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER.
Member of a small team of technicians, installing, testing, commissioning and maintaining all services safely within an extremely hazardous top tier COMAH site.
The duties include:-
Open loop control of plant using Allen Bradley PLC's with the aid of multiple ifix intellution remote HMI terminal units and a SCADA industrial interface system.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance to laid down schedules.
Raising of permits, dealing with contractors and working within a permit to work system.
Panel wiring, electrical installations and documentation of systems using a Visio drawing package
Complying with COSHH regs. within an environment having a wide variety of dangerous chemicals.
The use of breathing apparatus whilst carrying out maintenance work on hazardous systems.
The equipment includes:-
Boilers, compressors, water treatment plant, cooling towers, plate heat exchangers, various centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, reactors, agitators, cross exchanger, catalytic incinerator, absorber, scrubber, column and homogenisers.
A varied range of analogue transmitters and receivers for automatic plant control.

The setting and automation of utilities using a PC and a doorway control program.
