Career objective 
Looking for a challenging position of the Knowledge Engineer Resume the reputed University with a view to use my wide experience for the benefit of the organization.
Since 1987 when I left the Royal Navy, I have been working in the TV/Satellite/Aerial Industry, until December 2009, when I was given the opportunity to work in oil/gas industry as an engineer specialising in electronic control systems. Unfortunately, due to a change in my family circumstances, I am now unable to be working away from home for such long periods of time, so have had to resign from the position, and am now actively looking for employment.

Apprentice trained Electronics Engineer
 
Served a 4 years apprenticeship in the Royal Navy, working on radio, radar, sonar and associated equipment used in helicopters in the Fleet Air Arm. 
 
TV, Video, Hi-Fi repair and installation
 
Worked in a Bang & Olufsen dealership, repairing TV’s etc to component level. Also installed equipment into customers’ homes. I was also involved with the launch of Sky satellite from day one, installing equipment as required, both motorised and fixed satellite systems. Since working for BSkyB, I have repaired boxes to component level in and out of the customers’ home, I have installed broadband to customers computers, installed telephone lines, and have also given extensive tuition on how to operate the broadband. Customer Care and Health and Safety have been very important in my day-to-day working life.

Whilst in the Royal Navy, I was a Petty Officer Artificer, where I was in charge of several ratings in my trade. When at BSkyB, I became a Team Manager with up to 50 engineers working in my team. I was a team manager for 7 years before going self-employed.

December 2009 until September 2010 Construction/Commissioning Engineer
 
Working for Thermal Solutions in the oil/gas industry as an engineer. My duties involved travelling to various parts of the world, and being part of a construction or commissioning team. As a company, we specialised in pilot lights, a system for maintaining a flame, ready to light gas on any particular system of a refinery or gas plant. My job required me to supervise the work of the permanently employed refinery engineers, ensuring that correct practices were carried out during the build or activation of the system. 
 
March 2005 until December 2009 Self-employed Satellite and Aerial Installer.
 
Travelling to customers homes and businesses, surveying the site and discussing the work before installing/servicing the required equipment. My work was a mixture of “Contract work” and “Personally acquired” work.
 
September 2002 until March 2005 Team Manager for Firstline Digital
 
Formed a new team of installation engineers, reporting to the Operations Manager. Maintained records of installers capabilities. Carried out site visits of customers homes and premises. Ensured all H&S procedures were carried out. Ensure that all installers have the relevant credentials and training to carry out the required work. Attend monthly meetings. Working to KPI’s, and monitoring the achievements of the installers in my team.
 
June 1995 until September 2002 Worked for TAS which became Sky-in-Home-Service.

Senior Engineer - Supervising fellow engineers, visiting and rectifying problems that arose from incidents/accidents in customers homes. Reporting to the Branch Manager in Bristol.
