Key Achievements:
Leading up to the year 2000 I systematically redesigned the core floral range comprising of twenty-two SKUs across seven fragrances, one hundred and fifty four products in total. A fresh new look was achieved by investing in new tooling for the glass and plastic bottles and closures, plus new molds for the five different sizes of soaps. All of the products had additional external packaging, either a carton or rigid box with the exception of the Drawer Sachets and Dusting powder.
The fragrance mix was rationalized and two new fragrances were introduced to compliment the original five floral collections. The launch dates were staggered over one year, three fragrances, Orchid, Pink Bouquet and Lavender in June 2000. Two fragrances, Apricot and Almond, White Iris, were introduced in September 2000. This ensured that five fragrances were available for the Christmas gift offering. The last two fragrances, English Fern and Lily were launched in June 2001. This resulted in a boost to sales and elevation of the brands status within the market place.
Jaeger1881: A bath and home collection comprising nine items. The design brief was to develop a collection retaining the core company values, portraying a classic theme with a contemporary twist. This was achieved by developing crisp clean product formulations, sourcing simple yet elegant components and a double sided whiter than white carton board and matching cover paper. A light floral fragrance with notes of Rose and Lotus Blossom was chosen. The branding was kept simple with the logo and product information retained within a double lined frame, all gold foil blocked. To add interest to the external packaging I developed a very subtle repeat pattern using the Jaeger logo printed in alternating and gloss varnish. The collection was very well received by the client and continued to sell in Jaeger stores for several years.
