General Services Engineer
Maintained military operational vehicles by trouble shooting, repairing, modifying and installing special armor. Communication systems.
Achievements:
Designed and built emergency power systems that enabled technicians to perform field maintenance on Military equipment for up to 4 hours, mitigating need for loud power generators and saving up to 3 man hours daily.
Designed and built an armor lift machine for Humvee up shield installations that reduced manpower from 6 people to 2, shaving over $1,000 and significantly upgrading safety.
Repaired hydraulic gate system at Abu Ghraib Prison in Baghdad under extremely hazardous conditions, enabling U.S. Marines to resume traffic control of nationals.
As HVAC foreman, designed A/C system for transports including a 5-ton unit, coordinating with 3 different shops to acquire adequate mounting hardware.
Repaired an $80,000 SkyTech boom lift that had been inoperable for 6 months, used for furnishing ammo and removing wounded from towers and walls during attacks; received a letter of accommodation and a Sargent bronze start medal for repair.
Promoted to Maintenance Supervisor in charge of over 105 personnel.

Installed, designed and serviced all types of audio-video systems including high and low voltage systems.
Achievements:
Instrumental in refurbishing Kuwaiti war damage after Desert Shield/Storm including involvement in the Sheraton Biltmore Hotel’s million dollar remodel working closely with all contractors to resolve problems with and through the American Embassy such as procurement, time management, labor costs, supervision and management procedures.

Achieved operational success as a privately owned enterprise with a relatively low initial investment, sold, installed and serviced audio, video, security, communication systems and generator UPS systems to a number of key clients.
Having trained in Hazmat, forklift operation and fire control, able to work in hazardous types of commercial, industrial and manufacturing environments without incident.
Independently troubleshot and repaired security systems at Clayton County Detainment Facility, in Jonesboro, GA, omitting the typical use of 4 technicians resulting in client savings $100’s per day while under constant inmate exposure.

CAREER NOTE: As co-owner and Executive Vice President of an audio system sales, service and installation business, oversaw domestic sales, engineering, production control, material control, and procurement of sound installations including mobile audio systems for political figures and celebrities including Gladys Knight and the Pips and Waylon Jennings.
