Career objective
Looking for a challenging position of the Game Designer Resume the reputed University with a view to use my wide experience for the benefit of the organization.
I believe that my skills as a game developer will be perfectly suited for the role as flash game developer. I have previously created Flash Websites, games and application and I am currently working on an extremely complex flash gambling client for Newcastle Marketing Services. My design skills are mainly a secondary skill that arose from my skill as a gamedeveloper, artist, designer and programmer. Creating any kind of interactive game is a complex procedure that draws on many different skills from programming, 2D art, 3D art, project management, music composition, asset handling, object orientated design, and most crucial component of a game is the games design. And luckily for you I have all of these required skills, some people may have one or two of these skills but I have all which makes me a perfect candidate for this position.
Most of my previous experience was gained through my own company Angler Games where I was in charge of a small team of remote workers as well as lead programmer and lead artist. The game is set to be released on the Xbox live platform early/mid 2011. Although the Xbox Live project is written using C# and the XNA framework C# and AS3 share many similarities. I have always used flash in the past but it is only since I graduated from my MSc in software enterprise in November 2010 that I have started to take a much more focused interest in AS3 and Flash CS5. I find AS3's object orientated class design a very easy stepping stone from C# and I really enjoy the mix of Flash API and AS3.
Along with my high standard of programming I have a very good artistic ability and use vector based art programmes like adobe illustrator and Photoshop to create highly polished, professional art assets. As well as an experienced 2D artist I am highly skilled in the creation of 3D assets and use my skills as a 2D artist to create high quality textures that are extremely important in the creation of any 3D model. I believe my ability to create good professional art is one of my best assets as a game developer. I have many creative ideas and I actively try to think outside the box to create a unique gaming experience for the player.
Your post caught my interest immediately as you are a media company that clearly want to enter the world of game andgameification. Gameification is a very interesting topic and something I am passionate about, and it is my belief that media/advertisement/lots of other companies are jumping on the gaming band wagon a little too quickly and they do not fully understand the complexities and phycology behind creating good games, and creating a desired user experience.
I believe my previous experience is perfectly suited for this position and I am very confident that I can create some really fantastic 3D games using Flash and AS3.

Career Objectives
In my career as a game designer I want to develop on the most up to date platforms that give the player a different gaming experience then traditional gaming. I believe that there is a game for every situation and environment and that thegame needs to be designed around key aspects of its environment to show the full potential of the platform that it's being played on.
To create memorable and interesting games I create new and innovative game mechanics that people would have never seen before. Taking into account the limitations of the platform and the way that a person will interact with the game is of the upmost importance in the creation of unique game mechanics.
I can see myself being a valued member of the team as I will bringing my skill as a game designer/ Artist and also the ability to develop these games for any given platform.

I Have only been with Newcastle marketing services for 3 month now and it pains me to say but i am not fulfilling my desired goals as a game designer/developer there.

I was brought on board to create gambling games for the new bingo client but is turns out that they would rather me work on the client itself as they can see my advanced skill as an AS3 programmer and found it was cheaper than using the freelancer they were using before me. This is not exactly what I had in mind when I joined the company and I am better suited to creating innovative games.

My role in the creation of thisgame was: 2D artist, programmer, producer, level designer, assets manager, tester, director, writer, composer and marketing.
The key thing to take away from my experience is that I have the ability to create an entire project from conception to delivery or can concentrate specifically on one task.
