I have completed a two year British Display Society diploma in retail display & Interior design at East Berkshire College in Windsor, winning a bronze medal for my exam window & achieving distinctions in both years. Sept. 1998 - Date - Senior Florist/Visual merchandiser - Boulevard Florist
I design and maintain all window displays & in-store displays. Winning several local awards for the best window displays in I change main displays regularly according to time of year and occasion to maintain customer interest. Florist duties involve arranging flowers, wedding work, displaying bouquets, customer service & office duties include using a computer for interflora orders. I regularly help design
advertising for yellow/ Thomson local & new shop stationary and logo.
May 2004 – April 2006 Freelance visual merchandiser The Optical Shop
Installing window displays designed by my colleague for their three stores in Staines, Hounslow & Woking every 6 weeks. We did one window each in each shop and this involves stripping out previous window, cleaning ready for new display. Usually suspending promotional boards/props & displaying show cards/glasses. Changing light box visuals & suspending promotion boards around shop.

(Work Experience ) Bluewater, Kent
As Part of my BDS course we were required to do two weeks work experience, I chose Lewis as they are a well known company and their stores are kept to a high standard. I spent 3 days on ladies & men’s fashions dressing mannequins for the christmas displays – which were party/winter wear and some formal dress, I chose all the accessories to go with outfits. I helped to make props & cover panels for Santa’s grotto and stayed late to install the grotto on the shop floor ,dressed christmas trees for restaurant. I assisted in installing the main window display putting merchandise on 2 shelf units keeping to the skyline style of displaying items. Plus keeping displays tidy, making costumes, returning stock.
