Looking for a challenging position of the Fashion Designer Resume the reputed University with a view to use my wide experience for the benefit of the organization.
I am a highly motivated fashion graduate specialising in fashion and communications; I enjoy the process of seeing how a concept develops from start to finish-from research to design; to brand development and finally to how the product can be communicated to the consumer. I am organised, punctual and always meet deadlines and can work independently as well as working in a team. PRACTICAL SKILLS: Pattern cutting, making, fabric dying, warm glass making and CAD design (creative layouts). I also have visual merchandising experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE
AMOOSI INTERNSHIP: April 15th- May 15th 2009 Amoosi is an up and coming ethical fashion label, who use sustainable approaches and design women's wear and accessories. • • • Sourced reclaimed fabrics from localdesigners who were willing to donate offcuts of material. Attended meetings with the manufacturer, reporting changes needed to the Spring/Summer collection. Assisted at the editorial photo shoot and sample sale.
FASHION SHOWS
June 2010: Project Space: This show showcased 2010 graduate collections and solely organised and fund raised by myself and fellow students. I contributed by helping to fund raise money, providing mood boards for students to vote which for hair and makeup looks they wanted. During the show I was part of the front of house team which involved greeting guests and making sure everything was in order. May 2008/ June 2009: The Royal Armouries: I was picked for two years running to help dress models and help out at front of house at Leeds College of Arts graduate shows.

Working on shop floor and back of house. First rate customer service as well as giving fashion advice. Ensuring store provides a visually exciting experience: Mannequins/Window displays, some visual merchandising experience. I was picked to help prepare new stores opening around the country. Stock-ins at: Preston, Liverpool and Grimsby.
COMPUTER SKILLS
I am competent on MACs and PCs. I am a confident user of Microsoft Office, Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design), iMovie. I have some experience in using Flash and Dream weaver. I am also able to use the laser cutter.
ACHIEVEMENTS
THE BANK GALLERY : September 2010 I was selected to feature the video from my graduate collection at a local gallery. J MODEL MANAGEMENT FASHION SHOW: August 2010
I was picked to take part in J Model Management graduate fashion show at The Chameleon in Birmingham. The agency organises the biggest fashion shows in the North.
GRADUATE FASHION WEEK REPRESENTATIVE: 2009-2010
I was chosen to be Leeds College of Art's representative for Graduate Fashion Week. Graduate Fashion Week is an important time for graduating fashion students as it gives the opportunity for students to showcase their work to the public. This involved attending GFW meetings in London along with other fashion students from colleges around the country. My role was to keep tutors and students up to date with GFW news and to pass on student achievements to GFW.
DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD: BRONZE/SILVER/GOLD Roles/skills gained:
• • • Planned expeditions in The Lake District National Park. Working as a team allowed us to plan a successful route. Enhancement of team leadership skills. It was important for us to work as a team and to keep morale high as at times the expeditions were physically and mentally challenging. Heightened awareness of how important it is to be organised by planning ahead. For example planning routes that were physically possible for each team member to complete.
VOLUNTEERING
AGE CONCERN: The Winter Warmth Scheme involved visiting an elderly lady called Ethel during the winter months by keeping her company and helping out by making small meals. BROWNIES: Organising activities for children that were fun as well as educational.
INTERESTS
Visiting inspiring countries with cultural interests, photography (anything and everything!), gigs, galleries, reading, socialising, meeting people!
