Career objective 
Looking for a challenging position of the Events Planner Resume the reputed University with a view to use my wide experience for the benefit of the organization.
I am a confident and well mannered person who is extremely organised and loves a challenge. I work well as part of a team but am very capable of working alone and am successful at meeting deadlines and easily adjustable to workloads, considering myself a fast learner. I am flexible at adjusting to time frames being set and understand the need for hard work. I consider myself confident in perseverance and problem solving but not adverse to asking for help if necessary. I am able to work in pressurised environments, with great organisational skills and ability to multitask. I enjoy interacting with people and am friendly and outgoing. I am punctual and extremely rarely absent from my commitments and job. I am confident with dealing and communicating with suppliers and clients, building up strong relationships. I have had to incorporate many of the skills in the various roles, but have found planning and organising events is my passion. I have my own car so am willing to travel and provide my own mode of transport.

Alzheimer’s Society – Dementia Caf and Social Events Coordinator

I am the events coordinator for the Sutton & Merton branch. I arrange activities and events for the people with dementia and their carers in the borough. We run four weekly activity groups which I coordinate the structure, venue liaisons, arrange an entertainer and speaker from relevant companies. I have also helped with setting up conference basedevents, from initial contact to on the day running, to raise awareness of the charity and the benefits we provide. I also record the statistics and evaluate the events, which also assists in the organising of the following event or activity. My role here has let me put into practice all the hands on experience I had with other events jobs and liaising with the clients and venues. I feel I have made successful contacts and rapports with the clients and vendors to the business.
 
Dragonfly Events Company – Directors Events Assistant

I am employed as an events assistant; on the day co-ordination. I have been part of a leadership team to set up for various events. I have learnt some very valuable time keeping and organisational skills. I have adhered to an itinerary for the day but have seen how certain events can suddenly change and new plans be made if need be. Setting up alongside other vendors and suppliers has also helped me to appreciate everyone’s skills and to see the end result is very satisfying. I have help set up at a range of locations from hotels and halls to people’s private gardens. I have had to be very quick in my thoughts and present myself as a trustworthy, caring and very approachable person which I feel I have achieved.

I have taken on varying roles at this company and during this time I have learnt a huge deal about customer care, service and responsibilities. As the Office Manager I handled customer queries, confidential credit card details and processing payments and invoices, payroll processing to the accountant, staffing issues and helping in PR positions, marketing and advertising, including venue sourcing. I liaised with the suppliers and pools regularly, and help the running of the business under the supervision of the directors. I was handling vast amounts of data and organising registers for around two thousand students.

I learnt many skills in a very short space of time because of the busy Christmas period. This included serving customers, returns, money handling, collecting customer orders and product searches. I had to transferring my customer skills from previous jobs and worked as part of a team to organise a successful store turn around for the sales in a few hours.
 
Voluntary Work and Experience
 
I continue to volunteer as an events assistant and for manager experience with an events company, where I help with on the day co-ordinating. I extremely enjoy bringing together all the aspects of the day, setting up, making sure the running of events stay to plan and am there for general help of a smooth running of the day. I got an insight into an event that had taken around a year to plan and get to see it all come together. Here I help with corporate events and weddings.
I volunteered through my college course in Events and Wedding planning to be a wedding planner for a Bride and Groom. I was extremely organised with my thoughts and how I presented my ideas to them, helping source out all aspects from their venue to flowers and catering. I coordinated during the wedding day alongside another student and the day went smoothly and was very successful. The bride and groom were extremely happy with their wedding and the days events how I went about coordinating the day.

Computer/ IT systems
I am extremely computer literate and have a high proficiency in all Microsoft packages which would greatly contribute to increased productivity and excellent client relations on many levels. I am also aware of small businesses computer packages and systems for handling confidential data. I have an excellent telephone manner dealing with many different types of customers which has developed in varying roles. I am currently continuing my development and experience by looking into systems such as Prince2 and project management resources.
Interests
I enjoy taking part and coaching sports and leading a healthy lifestyle. Socialising with friends, and planning events has strongly become my passion. I have a interest in fashion and magazines and keeping up to date with news and current affairs. I am very excited by the prospect to travel and feeling cultured.
