Looking for a challenging position of the Creative Web Designer Resume the reputed University with a view to use my wide experience for the benefit of the organization.
I am a website designer with 5 years experience from a wide range of creative design and development projects. In addition I have also undertaken some branding and print-based design projects.
Design skills
I am highly creative and passionate about design. I have excellent visual communication skills and pay close attention to detail. I am able to balance innovative and original design concepts with the creation of a clear and effective solution to a brief. While all my designs are tailored to the relevant audience and project brief, I tend towards a clean, elegant design aesthetic with a strong focus on usability and accessibility.
User experience skills
I have a keen interest in user-centred design and information architecture. I have experience of creating personas, user journeys, site maps and wireframes and have been involved in a number of usability testing sessions.
Development skills
I have well-developed CSS and XHTML skills; experience of creating Flash banners and HTML emails; and some knowledge of SEO and JQuery. I have excellent Photoshop skills and I have worked with both Dreamweaver and Visual Studio, as well as a range content management systems. In addition I have a good knowledge of Flash, Illustrator, Fireworks, InDesign and Quark, and I am equally comfortable using a Mac or PC.
Project management skills
I have often taken projects through the entire design process, from initial client meeting to completion. This has included:
presenting visuals to clients and working with them to agree a finished design maintaining an overview of a project to ensure all elements work together and stay on schedule convening and running inter-departmental meetings liaising between departments e.g. marketing and development training and supporting new team members and contractors
Personal qualities
I am efficient at multi-tasking and am able to work to tight deadlines in high pressure environments. I have the resilience to deal with difficult projects and the inter-personal skills to reconcile conflicting demands and points of view. I am equally happy to work independently or as part of a team. I genuinely enjoy learning new skills and meeting new challenges, and I try to keep up to date with the latest digital trends and techniques.

Experience
Web designer for Saga Digital - March 2010 to present
Having had many freelance contracts for Saga since late 2008 in the travel, personal finance, and insurance departments, I accepted a full-time position as the main designer for personal finance earlier this year. Since taking the post I have been asked to redesign the entire personal finance section of the Saga website, encompassing changes to both its visual style and underlying structure. This has involved collaborating with a number of departments within the organisation.
Freelance - 2005-2010
After graduating, I worked on a freelance basis for a number of design agencies as well for my own clients. My contract work included the following design agencies Netsite, Blaze, Sagittarius, Cortexx Creative, Red Red Design, Cohesion and Westgate. I also worked for Nomen (a naming consultancy) and for the in-house design teams at Towergate and Saga. Examples of work for my own clients can be seen in my online portfolio.
