Looking for a challenging position of the Civil Engineering Student Resume the reputed University with a view to use my wide experience for the benefit of the organization.
A practically minded civil engineering masters student at Swansea University currently achieving a 2.1. Has excellent communication, organisation and IT skills following a Year in Industry and return summer placement. Keen to obtain a graduate position in a progressive Civil Engineering company to develop a career to aid and develop skills.

This course consists of a number of different modules supported by lectures, which in turn will provide the knowledge to understand the following:
• With relevant modules being Structural Analysis/Design, Geomechanics
• Dissertation topic of forecasting steel demand were knowledge about forecast methods was gained.
• Group projects designing aspects of airports and steel composite structures where understanding in substructure and superstructure design was achieved.
• Utilised Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Access over 3 years.
• Developed a excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and MatLab

• Supported building control officers with site visits instructing clients to comply with national regulations during a two week voluntary placement.
Summer of 2009 Animal Health branch of DEFRA
• Carried out surveillance visits to agricultural properties in order to validate data held on current systems.
• Obtaining farm management and stock information in order to underpin a second visit by veterinarian officer.
2006-07 and Summer of 2008 Fairfield Mabey Ltd
Fairfield Mabey Ltd is a specialist steel bridge manufacturing company. Had role as a Project Student for Year in Industry and subsequent summer placements.
• Key member in a small team which correct errors and contradictions in construction drawings
• Successfully managed a small department for two weeks whilst lack of personnel.
• Communicated with the various clients to rectify issues that prevented production.
• Designed and developed schemes for installations of bridge steelwork with the use of AutoCad taking into account site surroundings, crane positions and assembly sequences.
• Created construction site records with respect to site personnel and site events.
• Setting out crane locations with respect to construction drawings.
• Assisted surveying engineers with setting steelwork out for assembly
• Aided the surveying of the bridge’s final position and correlation to construction drawings.
