Complete control of production, working directly with the Managing Director and Commissioning Editor for a brand-new daily, live, quiz show (hosts Jenny Powell and Jenni Falconer). Refining pilot format, controlling pre-production and production budgets, selecting third party suppliers such as graphics, music, computer systems, set design, stylist, service providers etc. Establishing a production team. Writing compliance and Ofcom/PhonepayPlus documents. Auditioning, training and gallery producing talent. Overseeing content, liaising with all technical, legal, online and telephony departments. Successfully bringing the live show to air, on time and on budget. The show has been re-commissioned for another 30 eps.

Full editorial control of second series, liaising with Commissioning Editor, Executive Producer and all other technical, music, graphics, legal, web and financial departments. Responsible for all aspects of programmes. Controlling budget.

Hosted by Nicky Campbell and Sonia Deol, with a panel of respected guests plus a celebrity guest slot, with a live studio audience and 360 degree interactivity. Full editorial control of shows, working with Series Editor. Celebrity interviewees included Mia Farrow, Annie Lennox and   Humphrys. Panellists included Lord Steel, Lord Carey along with notable MPs, clergy and journalists. Liaising with Commissioning Editors and Executives. Deciding content, celebrity guests and panellists, gallery producing Sonia Deol, writing and editing briefs, supervising research, and scheduling. Overseeing all aspects of the programmes, including contributors, scripts, research, scheduling, briefs, and liaising with all technical and production departments. Nightly live entertainment and interactive game show.
Set up the show from inception to launch, with the Executive Producer,   Leahy, and the Series Producer, to create innovative game show programming. This included devising and writing new games, developing content, and liaising with various technical departments. Interviewing, organising and scheduling talent and crew, instructing the shooting AP, supervising research and graphic departments, overseeing vt packages. Liaising with commissioning editors, celebrity guests and their agents, and contributors. Full editorial control of live shows.

Daily live health discussion show.
Responsible for editorial control of live shows. Scripting programmes, briefing celebrity presenters such as Dr Porter and Dr   Hammond plus guests, such as Dr Miriam Stoppard. Supervising research and VT packages, audience, phonos, and liaising with all technical departments.

SENIOR PRODUCER – Channel five - Endemol UK
Brainteaser and Memory Bank - 60 min daily live quiz shows
Original Producer of Brainteaser at its development stage. Co-created the show, its ‘look’ and style, established the research and production team, and took it to air on time and on budget. Gallery produced the programme regularly, as well as training up and overseeing new Producers. Responsible for all editorial content. Gained many recommissions.
 
Later, co-developed the format of Memory Bank and, again, put the team together and took the show to air on time and on budget. Overall control of the daily production of both programmes, devised and tested new games and promos, and was responsible for all editorial content, team management and development. 
 
March 2000 – March 2002. TWI - The NOW Channel (TransWorld International/PCC)
PRODUCER. (The Network of the World [NOW] was the first global broadband service. It delivered live and as-live TV programming, 100% synchronised with multi-media content on the internet. It broadcast 24/7 to a potential TV audience of 135 million in the Middle East, Asia and Australasia.)
 
Overall responsibility for seven live, half-hour, music news shows each week, with simultaneous web content. PD-ed on-location music festivals and award programmes.
 
 
November 1999 – February 2000 Scottish Television
(S2 was Scottish Television’s first digital platform, and broadcast six nights a week)
FREELANCE PRODUCER. S2 LIVE
S2 LIVE, a daily lifestyle and entertainment show pitched at 16-24 year-olds, covering music, comedy and the arts. Producing entertainment packages from across Scotland and edited compilation shows.
 
1996 – November 1999. Edinburgh L!VE TV
PRODUCER. 
(Edinburgh L!VE opted out of some of its notorious  parent’s programming to broadcast as a local news channel serving the Greater Edinburgh area.)
 
Joined the pre-launch team as a Production Journalist and was promoted to Producer. Responsible for daily local news bulletins, a nightly half-hour entertainment magazine show, a two-hour live breakfast show with live OBs, and regular location discussion programmes with local politicians responding to questions from a live audience. Also produced Edinburgh Festival specials, and a seven-hour 1997 General Election broadcast covering the Edinburgh count.
 
1997 – 1999. Edinburgh Festival Revue
ASSOCIATE PRODUCER. 
(A multi-media event in which, each year, more than 600 acts performed highlights from their shows in the various festivals on a stage in central Edinburgh. These were filmed, shown on giant screens on site, broadcast through local cable television and transmitted live on the web.)
 
I was seconded to work on the Revue, to co-ordinate the output of the daily, 9-hour show, with the Director, and occasionally to deputise for him in the gallery.
 
1995 – 1996. Various
Researcher at Scottish Television for the news department and on two entertainment shows – Don’t Look Now and NB. I was 2nd AD on a feature-length drama The Priest and the Pirate, shown on BBC1, and a Production Assistant on various corporate programmes whose clients included Edinburgh City Council, Scottish Fishery Protection Agency and the Scottish Health and Safety Council.
